FARMINGTON, N.M. - Air Force baseball struggled toget its offense going and New Mexico's Bobby LaFromboise tossed a complete game, three-hit effort in leading the Lobos to a 7-1 win over the Falcons Friday night in Mountain West Conference action at Ricketts Park. The loss drops AFA to 11-20, 0-9 while UNM improved to 22-12, 6-4.

Air Force did not get its first hit until the seventh inning when Nathan Carter singled to lead off the inning. LaFromboise (4-2) struck out 10 and walked just one batter, surrendering his lone run in the ninth inning.

The Lobos scored two runs in the second and five in the seventh for all of their runs. The Falcon pitching held the potent UNM attack to just six hits on the day. New Mexico was led offensively by Coty Wilson, who went 2-for-2 with a homer.

Air Force starter David Miller (1-3) went three innings, allowing two runs on two hits. Alex Truesdale and Josh Meents also pitched in relief for the Falcons.

Carter, Daniel Walker and Ben Ausbun had AFA's thre base hits. Air Force committed two errors in the game and New Mexico three.

The Falcons and Lobos play game two of the three-game set tomorrow, Saturday April 12, back at Ricketts Park.
