    LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Air Force baseball dropped a 12-1 ballgame at UNLV Sunday afternoon at Earl E. Wilson Stadium. The Falcons dropped to 3-6, 0-3 and the Rebels improved to 7-3, 3-0.

    UNLV had 18 hits in the game. Rightfielder Edgar Montes went 3-for-5 with three runs and four RBIs to lead the Rebels. Second baseman Justin Jones also homered.

    Air Force had seven hits in the game. Third baseman Noah Pierce hit a solo home run in the fourth for Air Force's run. First baseman Seth Kline added two hits.

    UNLV starting pitcher Bryan Bonnell (2-1) struck out six in 7.2 innings pitched for the win.

    Falcon starting pitcher Griffin Jax (1-2) worked 3.2 innings in the loss. Nathan Stanford struck out five in 3.1 innings of relief. Brady Weaver and Bo Wilson closed the game out.

    Air Force also had base hits from Bradley Haslam, Jax, Adam Blankenship and Russell Williams.

    The Falcons return to action Friday, March 7, hosting Fresno State to begin a three-game conference home series.
