HIGH SCHOOL (Carl Sandberg):Lettered four years in baseball and one in golf...all-state as a junior and senior...all-conference and all-area both years as well...batted .495 with four homers and 46 RBIs as a senior...batted .537 with four homers and 27 RBIs as a junior...National Honors Society member...high school baseball coach was Jim Morsovillo...played summer ball for Upper Deck, coached by Chuck Williams and Keith Bauer.

PERSONAL:Has a younger sister...nickname is Rex...favorite food is Aurelio's pizza...favorite book is the Kite Runner...favorite TV show is Two and Half Men...favorite movie is Happy Gilmore...person in history he'd most like to meet is Joe DiMaggio...something most people don't know about him is that he loves to play the guitar...credits his dad, mom, sister and coaches as having the biggest influence on his sports career...enjoys wakeboarding, snowboarding and disc golf when away from baseball...son of Todd and Yolanda Reks.
