Freshman: Played in 13 games, started in three behind the dish… Had one hit in 13 at-bats… Had one RBI and was perfect in the field in 26 chances… Threw out two of six runners on the base.

High School (Churchill): Lettered three years in baseball... Named second-team all-district as a senior... First-team all-district as a senior... Team captain as a senior... Also earned honorable mention all-city honors twice... Team won the area and bi-district championships... Went 2-for-3 at the plate against the 13th team in the nation... Class valedictorian... Member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society.

Personal: Member of Cadet Squadron 26, the Barons... Major is mechanical engineering... Did summer research with NASA at the Johnson Space Center in Texas… Is the operations officer in his squadron, responsible for 120 cadets… Nickname is Petey… Hopes to go to graduate school after leaving the Academy… Birthdate is July 20, 1981… On the dean's list every semester and the commandant's list and the athletic's list twice... Favorite major league team is the Atlanta Braves... Favorite player is Braves' catcher Javy Lopez.
