HIGH SCHOOL (Bishop Blanchet):Lettered three years in baseball and football and four in wrestling...all-state and first-team all-league as a captain and team MVP as a senior...all-league as a junior...three-time all-state in wrestling...state champion in 195-pound class as a senior and runner-up as a junior...posted 80-3 record in wrestling as a junior and senior...three-time all-league football player, two-time first-team linebacker, punter and kicker...East-West All-Star Senor Game captain for football...graduated with honors...state academic champion in wrestling...high school baseball coach was George Monica...played summer ball for the Mudville 9, coached by Kurt Boyd.

PERSONAL:Nickname is P.J. ...grandfather was a captain in the Merchant Marines...father was a college wrestler and later coached a USA high school team that compete in mainland China--the first-ever US high school wrestling program in mainland China--for six weeks in 1985...mother ran cross-country in college...favorite books are the Myron Bolitar series by Harlan Coben...favorite movie is The Departed...person in history he'd like to meet is Pat Tillman...something most people don't know about him is that he used to downhill ski race competitively...credits his father as having the biggest influence on his sports career...son of John Johnson and Dr. Eva Kubinsky.

Why I came to the Academy: "I came to the Academy because it is important to me to serve my country. The Academy gives me both the opportunity to serve my country and to get a high quality education. I want my career to make a difference in lives and the Air Force allows me to achieve that goal."
