HIGH SCHOOL (Antonian College Prep): Lettered three years in baseball and football...two-time all-district in baseball...team captain in baseball and football as a senior...All-American Pitcher at 2010 Triple Crown World Series...three-time all-district in football...first-team all-academic state baseball as senior, the lone athlete from San Antonio to do so...high school baseball coach was Chris Romo...played summer ball for the San Antonio Gators, coached by Gerry Martinez.

PERSONAL: Member of cadet squadron 28...attended the USAFA Prep School in 2011-12 and played on the baseball team...has seven siblings...favorite food is Migas a la Mexican Tacos...favorite book is Hope for Rwanda...favorite TV show is Workaholics...favorite movie is Thor...person in history he'd like to meet is Manu Ginobili...something most people don't know about him is that he once ate a five-pound hamburger as a competition at a restaurant...credits his father as having the biggest influence on his sports career...enjoys spending time with family when away from baseball...son of Robert Sanchez.

Why I came to the Academy: "I came to the Academy to join the service and to serve society in whatever way I could. I have always tried to be the best in everything I do and what better place to fully push me to the best I can possibly be than the Academy."
