    Getting to know Jake:

    Greatest moment in sports: My first ever high school baseball playoff game I pitched a complete game and went 3-for-4 with two triples and a home run.

    Hobbies: Working out.

    Favorite food: Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo.

    Favorite Movie: Gladiator.

    Person in history you'd like to meet and why: Leonidas because he lead his men without any fear and was part of one of the world's greatest military upsets.

    Who's had the biggest influence on your sports career and why: My older brother was always there for me and came to every game he could. He taught me everything I know about sports and supports me no matter what.

    Most noteworthy thing(s) about your hometown: The Wright brothers were born in Ohio.

    Favorite athlete and why: Mark Buehrle because I love the way he always keeps his composure and he's done many things on the mound most players only dream of doing.

    If you could be on any reality TV show, what would it be? I would be on Deadliest Catch.

    What do you have on your iPod? The whole nine yards (pretty much everything).

    If you could trade places with one of your teammates for day, who would it be and why?
    I would trade places with Patrick Lobo so that on leave I could be in Miami, Fla.

    How did you spend your summer? I did the USAFA jump program, Global engagement, combat survival training and went to Corolla, North Carolina on vacation with my family and friends.
