Adam Curynski Named Baseball Volunteer Assistant Coach

Curynski comes to Academy from Wisconsin-Stout.

Adam Curynski enters his first first year as volunteer assistant coach. Curynski comes to the Academy from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, where he was an assistant coach.

"We are excited to have Adam Curynski as a part of our Air Force Academy Baseball family," Falcon baseball head coach Mike Kazlausky said. "He brings in a wealth of baseball knowledge along with a high level of energy, passion, and enthusiasm to our program. Coach Curynski understands the importance of the impact that he will have on these young men as he prepares them not only as a baseball players, but as future military officers and leaders of our country."

Curynski lettered two years at Southern Illinois, earning All-Missouri Valley Conference in 2008 as a pitcher. Upon graduation, Curynski played a season of professional baseball with the Texarkana Gunslingers of the independent Continental League. Prior to his two years at Southern Illinois, Curynski played two years at Monroe Community College in Rochester, N.Y., where he was named the team captain and MVP, as well as twice earning all-region honors. Monroe C.C. captured two National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region III championships, a Northeast District championship and finished third at the 2007 NJCAA Division II World Series.

Curynski has served coaching stints at Southern Illinois (2009, assistant coach); Bishop Kearney High School (2010, head coach) in Rochester, N.Y.; the Webster Yankees of the New York Collegiate Baseball League (2010, pitching coach); Monroe Community College (2010, pitching coach); Pro Sports Academy (2011, director of baseball operations) in Punta Gorda, Fla.; University of Wisconsin-Stout (2012, pitching coach); Geneva Red Wings of the New York Collegiate Baseball League (2012, pitching coach).

Curynski is a native of Webster, N.Y., and received a bachelor's degree in recreation management from Southern Illinois in 2010.
