Junior (2012):Pitched in 14 games, making 11 starts...led team with 66 strikeouts and was fourth with 64.0 innings pitched...struck out 10-plus batters twice, doing so against Gardner-Webb (10) and San Diego State (13)...the 13 strikeouts against SDSU was the most in Mountain West play, the seventh-best total in school history and the most in a game at AFA since 1983...tossed a complete-game shutout against Kansas, striking out eight in the 3-0 win...for his performance against Kansas, earned MW Pitcher of the Week, Air Force Athletics Athlete of the Week and Jayhawk Classic All-Tournament...had six games with six-plus strikeouts...had seven starts allowing three-or-fewer earned runs.
Sophomore (2011): Pitched in 16 games, ranking third with 11 starts...second on team with 5.78 ERA and third with 49 strikeouts in 62.1 innings pitched...2-7 record...struck out nine batters against BYU and San Diego State...struck out eight against New Mexico...earned wins over Portland and San Diego State...held San Diego State to one run on six hits in eight innings in win...the win snapped a 35-game losing streak to SDSU which dated back to the 2003 season...played summer ball for the Marysville Gold Sox in Marysville, Calif...posted 2-0 record with 13 strikeouts in 12 innings for Gold Sox.
Freshman (2010): Led team with 26 appearances... appearances ranked fourth in the Mountain West Conference and is seventh all-time in a season at Air Force...struck out 24 in 36 innings pitched...had 14 appearances without allowing an earned run... made three starts...made debut vs. CSU Bakersfield...set career-high's with 4.2 innings pitched and five strikeouts in start vs. Creighton.
High School (Midland): Lettered three years in baseball and football...first-team all-district as a junior and second-team as a senior...all-district in football as a senior...pitched 10 innings in his final game in the district playoffs...member of National Honor Society...high school coach was Barry Russell.

If you could trade places with one of your teammates for day, who would it be and why?I'd trade places with Coach Kaz, just to see what it's like to have unlimited energy and passion.
How did you spend your summer?I spent six weeks at Marine Corps Officer Candidate School and after graduation from OCS I came back to the Academy to be the Squadron Commander of Flying Tigers for 2nd BCT.

Why I came to the Academy:"I came to the Academy because I wanted to embrace the challenge of being a cadet and in doing so become a part of something bigger than myself."
