Isaiah Bragg Named Air Force Athlete of the Week

    USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force senior Isaiah Bragg was named the Air Force Athlete of the Week on Monday, Nov. 4, after becoming the program's first Mountain West cross country champion at the 2013 MW Championships on Friday, Nov. 1.

    Bragg, who received the MW Student-Athlete of the Year award following his winning performance, clocked a course-record 8K time of 24:08.39 to better the field of 64, which included the defending conference champion, by four seconds. Joining a pair of WAC champions, Bragg is the Academy's third overall champion and the first since 1995. With his winning finish, the senior team captain paced the Falcons to a third-place finish in the overall team standings.

    Bragg shared Air Force Athlete of the Week honors with women's soccer player Ally Swift and wrester David Walker.

    The Falcons return to action on Friday, Nov. 15, when they travel to Riverdale, Utah, for the 2013 NCAA Mountain Region Championships.
