USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - The Air Force men's cross country team debuted in the national rankings this week, following a strong performance at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational last Saturday. The Falcons, who finished ahead of eight teams earning national recognition, entered the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division I Coaches' Poll with a #28 ranking.
It is the first national top-30 ranking for the men's program since the Week 4 of the 2005 season, although the squad has been listed among teams receiving votes during every poll this season.
The Falcons return to action next week, when they host the 2013 Mountain West Cross Country Championships on Friday, Nov. 1. The meet, which will feature eight men's teams and 11 women's teams, will take place on the Eisenhower Golf Club's Blue Course, beginning at 10 a.m.
