Men's Cross Country Ranked 11th in First 2004 National Poll

LISLE, Ill. - The Air Force men's cross country team, under the direction of head coach Mark Stanforth, is ranked 11th in the first national poll of the 2004 season, the United State Cross Country Coaches Association announced on Tuesday, Sept. 21.
With 241 points, the Falcons are just one point shy of cracking the top-10 (Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo is currently ranked 10th, with 242 points).
The Falcons are currently ranked third in the Mountain Region. The region's top-ranked program, Colorado, is ranked fifth nationally, while Mountain West Conference foe, BYU, is ranked second in the region and just ahead of the Falcons in the national poll with a ninth-place standing.
