USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Senior Kenny Grosselin and sophomore Brittany Morreale were named to the 2008 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® University Division Track and Field/Cross Country All-District VII Team, as selected by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) and released on June 5. Grosselin received first-team status in the district and will be on the ballot for Academic All-America® status.

Grosselin graduated from the Academy last week with a 3.94 grade-point-average in mathematics. It is the second straight year that he has claimed first-team all-district honors. Grosselin, a six-time academic all-conference selection for cross country and track, was a recipient of the 2008 NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship and the athletic department's Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award. Co-captain of the Falcons' cross country team, he competed at the conference and regional championships during each of the last two seasons.

Morreale is making her first appearance on the academic all-district team. She finished her second season with a 3.91 GPA in physics. This season, she set a Sophomore Class record in the outdoor 5000-meter run at the Stanford Invitational with a time of 17:06.65, a PR by 13 seconds. It was also the fourth-best time in program history for that event. An academic all-conference selection in both track and cross country, Morreale paced the Falcons during cross country season at two meets.

The national team will be announced on Monday, June 23.
