Air Force Runners Take Second Place in Kansas
The Air Force cross country men's and women's B teams took second place in the Fort Hays State Invitational on Saturday. Air Force runner Lindsay Grose was the women's champion with a time of 19:04. Anthony D'Amato was the Falcons' top runner, finishing fourth with a time of 26:34. The University of Colorado won the women's eight-team 5k race. Fort Hays State won the nine-team 8k men's race.
Falcon runners Ashley Snyder finished third with a time of 19:16 followed by Jenna Dorsey-Spitz (8th/19:49), Ilea Eskildsen (11th/20:05) and Crystal Grijalva (34th/21:29) among 67 runners. In sixth place was Brett Kelly (26:46) followed by Matt Hellier (10th/27:10), Travis Patterson (16th/27:23), Kyle Davidson (25th/27:44), Eddie Hildebrand (28th/27:53), and Richard Elmore (30th/27:56) in the field of 85 competitors.
