In addition to his coaching duties with the middle distance and distance runners, he is also an assistant coach for the Falcons' cross country team. Zarb-Cousin, a 1999 graduate of the Air Force Academy, returned to his alma mater after spending the past four seasons as an assistant cross country and track coach at Loyola Marymount University, while stationed at Los Angeles Air Force Base. Prior to his stint at LMU, he assisted the cross country and track teams at Fort Collins High School in Fort Collins, Colo., including the nationally ranked boys' cross country team that won the 2004 5A state title. During his tenure at FCHS, both the boys' and girls' cross country teams finished within the top three at the state championships. Zarb-Cousin also coached the boys' 4x800-meter relay team to the 2005 state title and the girls' 4x800-meter relay teams to a pair of second-place finishes at the state meet. A native of Colorado Springs, Zarb-Cousin was a letterwinner for the Falcons' track team as a middle distance runner. He graduated from the Academy with a degree in basic sciences and earned a master's degree in physical education/kinesiology from the University of Northern Colorado. |
