    JUNIOR YEAR | 2013: Competed in four competitions, including the conference, regional and national championships...clocked a career-best 8K time of 24:10 at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational (68th)...placed 21st at the Mountain West Championships following a time of 24:49.89...made 10K debut at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships, finishing 33rd with a personal-best time of 30:16.20...earned a scoring finish at that meet to help Air Force to its first appearance at the national championships since 2004...recorded a time of 31:42.30 to finish 140th at the NCAA Championships.

    SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2012: Did not compete in any meets.

    FRESHMAN YEAR | 2011: Competed in three meets...clocked a season-best time of 26:07.0 to finish 31st among 305 runners at the Woody Greeno Invitational...also clocked that time (26:07.8) at the Fort Hays State Tiger Invitational to place 35th...finished sixth in the JV race at the Notre Dame Invitational after clocking a five-mile time of 25:49.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Alameda High School...earned the MVP award for the track team...also named Most Improved for cross country...member of the soccer team...served as team captain.

    PERSONAL: Full first name is Zachary, but goes by Zach...nickname is "Snakebite"...son of Randy and Alyssa Perkins...father served in the Army and Coast Guard...has a twin brother, Charlie, who graduated from the Academy in 2014...also has one older brother, Randy, who is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy...majoring in management..."once retiring from the Air Force as a fighter pilot/doctor, I have plans to own a Build-A-Bear workshop and create a chocolate factory named after my brother"...named to the Athletic Director's List...currently serving as the Squadron Honor Officer...worked Basic Cadet Training over the summer, serving as Squadron Medical Officer (first session) and Confidence Course Cadre (second session)...attended the Academy's Prep School...hobbies include "the art of the spoken word, turtle herding, astrophysics, biochemistry and anything that has to do with having a 'Big Brain'"...huge fan of the UCONN Lady Huskies cross country team and Abby Mace...named the track and field team's Most Outstanding Competitor in 2013... earned All-America honors in the 1500-meter run, set the Academy record in that event and won two Mountain West titles (mile, 1500 meters) as a sophomore...added a MW indoor 800-meter title and clocked the program's sixth-fastest time in that event as a junior...also ran on the outdoor distance medley relay that set an Academy record at the 2014 Penn Relays and on the squad that clocked the program's fifth-fastest indoor time...member of Cadet Squadron 06.
