    JUNIOR (2011): Competed in four competitions...was the Falcons' top finisher at the Rocky Mountain Shootout...placed 27th with a time of 27:20...also competed in 8K races at the Woody Greeno Invitational (26:34, 53rd) and at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational (26:37, 253rd)...also participated in the Rust-Buster Invitational, placing 32nd in the 6K race with a time of 19:40...academic all-conference selection...Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.

    SOPHOMORE (2010): Competed in four meets...opened the season with a 46th-place finish at the Rust Buster Invitational (20:56, 6000-meter distance)...clocked an 8K time of 27:56 at the Woody Greeno Invitational (133rd)...also competed at the Rocky Mountain Shootout (28:33, 140th) and Tiger Invitational (season-best 26:41, 72nd)...academic all-conference selection...MWC Scholar-Athlete.

    FRESHMAN (2009): Competed in the first two meets of the season...MWC Scholar-Athlete.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Satellite High School...all-conference and all-state selection in track...graduated with a 4.0 un-weighted grade-point-average...was active in schools' science research and music programs.

    PERSONAL: Full name is Edward James Artz...goes by Ted...son of Edward and Barbara Artz...has one older sister, Alice...majoring in aeronautical engineering...future plans include becoming a pilot or an engineer...hobbies include running and flying...has a commercial pilot's license...has played the viola in orchestra for eight years...member of Cadet Squadron 07.
