Air Force Places 15 on Academic All-Conference List

Nine men and six women earned academic all-league honors.

FRESHMAN YEAR | 2013: Competed in the first three meets of the season...posted a season-best 5K time of 19:36.97 at the Fort Hays State Tiger Open (55th)...also ran that distance at the season-opening Colorado State Open, finishing 68th in 21:04.10...placed 50th at the Rocky Mountain Shootout, following a 5.8K time of 24:49.00...academic all-conference selection...Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.

HIGH SCHOOL: Westfield High School...varsity tri-athlete all four years...four-time member of the Summa Cum Laude Honor Roll...member of six honor societies.

PERSONAL: Full name is Taylor Alexis Schwenke...daughter of Jim and Pam Schwenke...father served in the military...has one younger sister, Kaitlyn...majoring in biochemistry...hobbies include running, singing and playing guitar...member of Cadet Squadron 02.

COACH COLE ON TAYLOR: "Taylor has some mechanical gifts that will really allow her to run very well, but as for all athletes, the key is staying healthy and consistent. We are working to build Taylor's consistency so she is able to find out just how fast she's capable of running, which is a lot faster than Taylor believes she's can."
