HIGH SCHOOL: Legend High School...named Athlete of the Year as a senior...three-time MVP of the cross country team (2013, 2014, 2015)...two-time recipient of the cross country team's Titan Award for Team Leadership (2015, 2016)...also received that honor from the track team in 2016...named Underclassmen Athlete of the Year in 2016...served as president of senior class...valedictorian.

PERSONAL: Full name is Scott Andrew Johnson...nickname is "Purps"...son of Steve and Joy Johnson...has one younger brother...currently undecided on a major...hobbies include petting any dog he sees, spending quality time with "the boys", being pinched by a crawdad's claws, drinking water and traveling...has wanted to attend the Air Force Academy since he was six years old...member of Cadet Squadron 40.

He showed progress over his high school career, but he’s just scratching the surface of what he’s capable of during the next four years. There’s a lot of training required during that time, but if Scott commits to that process, he may be our next great distance running cadet from Colorado."
