SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2016: Competed in six meets, including the conference, regional and national championships...earned all-region honors after finishing fourth out of 135 runners at the NCAA Mountain Regional (season-best 6K time of 20:19.9)...captured first-team all-conference accolades after finishing sixth at the Mountain West Championships (20:36.8)...helped Air Force to a runner-up finish in the team standings...was the Falcons' top finisher at the NCAA Championships, clocking a time of 20:30.0 to place 48th out of 250 runners...finished 40th in the 285-runner Pre-National Invitational (20:53.2)...clocked the fourth-fastest 5K time in Academy history (17:18.7) at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational (64th)...opened the season with an 11th-place finish at the Colorado State Invitational (17:54.6)...helped Air Force to the team title at that meet...academic all-conference selection...named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.

FRESHMAN YEAR | 2015: Competed in two meets...was the Falcons' lone competitor at the Rocky Mountain Shootout, finishing the 5.8K course in 23:27.8 (46th)...clocked a 6K time of 22:51.0 at the Pre-Nationals Invitational (301st)...academic all-conference selection.

MAJOR TRACK AND FIELD HIGHLIGHTS: Qualified to the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 10,000-meter run...earned all-conference honors in that event after finishing second at the 2017 Mountain West Championships...broke the Academy's 5000-meter outdoor record during a winning performance at the Drake Relays (16:04.68)...also impacted the program's top-10 standings of the 10,000-meter run (33:54.99, third) during the outdoor season, as well as the 5000-meter (16:29.07a, second) and 3000-meter (9:43.48a, sixth) events during the indoor season...holds the Freshman and Sophomore Class Records in the 5000- and 10,000-meter events...also holds the Sophomore Class Record at 3000 meters.

HIGH SCHOOL: Edmond North High School...2014 Footlocker South Senior Girl's champion...two-time All-Edmond Cross Country Runner of the Year (2012, 2013)...selected as a Cross Country Senior All-Star in 2014...set school records in the 3200- and 5000-meter events...three-time academic all-state champion in cross country (2011, 2013, 2014)...state medalist at 3200 meters as s senior...member of the 3200-meter relay that finish second at the state meet in 2015...also lettered in tennis...member of three state championship teams (2012, 2014, 2015)...two-time No. 2 singles champion at the state meet (2012, 2014)...third-place medalist in the No. 1 singles spot at the 2015 state tournament...three-time All-Edmond Tennis Player of the Year (2012, 2014, 2015)...named AP Scholar, with Distinction...National Merit Scholar...class valedictorian.

PERSONAL: Full name is Jaci Brackelle Smith...daughter of Don and Terri Smith...father ran track at Oklahoma Christian University...has one older sister...majoring in astronautical engineering...future plans include colonizing Mars and becoming a beekeeper in retirement...served as Standardization and Evaluation NCO...named to the Dean's List and Athletic Director's List...received Jump Wings in the summer of 2016...hobbies include reading, tennis and mutton busting...has read all of the Harry Potter books seven times...traveled to Travis AFB, Calif., over the summer for Operation Air Force...also tested water buffalo pH during Expeditionary Survival and Evasion Training (ESET)...member of Cadet Squadron 10.
