    HIGH SCHOOL: Faith Christian High School...four-year varsity letterwinner...Colorado 3A champion in cross country with a 5K time of 16:13...also won state 3A titles in the 3200-meter (9:48), 1600-meter (4:26) and 800-meter (1:57) events...four-year qualifier to the state championships...was a High Honor Student all four years... completed AP Calculus BC, AP Physics, AP Literature and AP Language/Composition.

    PERSONAL: Full name is Evan Michael Fortney...son of Karl and Jill Fortney...has one older sister, Lauren...planning to major in one of the Academy's engineering fields...future plans include becoming a pilot...hobbies include art (charcoal and graphite)...would like to add "I love life, and I think that working hard is one of the only ways to truly succeed"... member of Cadet Squadron 16.
