    JUNIOR (2007): Competed in four meets for the Falcons, including the conference and regional championships...placed 26th at the Mountain West Conference Championships with a time of 26:08...clocked a 10K time of 32:57 to finish the NCAA Mountain Regional in 61st place...ran the Pre-Nationals Meet in 25:19 (181st)...opened the season at the 4.25-mile Wyoming Invitational with a 14th-place time of 22:54.

    SOPHOMORE (2006): Ran in the first four races of the season and the Air Force Open...best finish (13th) came at the AFO in 28:14...finished 14th at the Utah Fall Festival (26:26)...clocked a 4.25-mile time of 23:31 at Wyoming to finish 33rd...clocked a time of 28:28 at the Roy Griak Invitational (277th).

    FRESHMAN (2005): Competed in five meets... opened the season with a 54th-place finish at Wyoming (24:49)...ran the Woody Greeno Invitational in 27:56...finished 18th at the Air Force Open (30:21)...also competed at the Rocky Mountain Shootout (29:44-68th) and Fort Hays Invitational (27:37-46th).

    HIGH SCHOOL: Ramstein American High School...four-time letterwinner in cross country and track...named Student-Athlete of the Year as a junior...four-time all-European honoree in cross country...clocked a personal-best 3000-meter time of 9:01.

    PERSONAL: Son of Steve and Julie Cowles...father is an Air Force lieutenant colonel, who works in the Academy's athletic department and serves as the assistant coach of the cross country team...has one younger brother, Aaron, who is a sophomore at the Colorado School of Mines...majoring in American history...future plans include becoming a pilot...hobbies include Frisbee and card games...member of the Air Force track and field team...member of Cadet Squadron 33.
