    Air Force Places 16 on Academic All-Conference List

    A program-record five Falcons earned their fourth straight academic all-conference honor.

    FRESHMAN (2012): Competed in three meets...opened the season at the 5K Colorado State Open (17:07.5, 54th)...clocked a season-best 8K time of 28:01.0 to finish 23rd at the Metro State Invitational...also competed at the Rocky Mountain Shootout, finishing 89th with a time of 28:25.0...academic all-conference selection...Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Gig Harbor High School...earned four varsity letters...served as team captain during junior and senior seasons...received the team's Most Improved Award as a sophomore...member of the team that won the Washington 4A state cross country championship title during senior season...also a member of the team that placed 15th at the Nike Cross Country Team National Championships, after finishing second at the regional meet...also lettered all four years in track and field...ranked as the fastest sophomore in the state at the 1600-meter distance (4:20)...during junior year, ranked 11th in the state at the 3200-meter distance and 16th in the 1600-meter run...moved up to 13th in state at the 1600-meter distance as a senior...served as team captain...competed on the state championship team as a senior...also competed on the select soccer team that placed third in state tournament...member of the National Honor Society...earned a 4.0 GPA for three years...class valedictorian.
