    JUNIOR (2012): Competed at the Woody Greeno Invitational...finished 184th with an 8K time of 28:23.1...missed the majority of the season due to a blood clot in the lungs.

    SOPHOMORE (2011): Competed in three meets...opened the season at the Rust Buster Invitational, clocking a 6K time of 20:44 (82nd)...posted a season-best 8K time of 27:34 to finish 119th at the Woody Greeno Invitational...also competed at the Rocky Mountain Shootout, placing 58th in a time of 28:32.

    FRESHMAN (2010): Competed in four meets...posted a season-best 8K time of 26:26 to finish 60th at the Tiger Invitational...finished 61st at the Woody Greeno Invitational (26:57) and 89th at the Rocky Mountain Shootout (27:38)...opened the season with a 35th-place finish at the Rust Buster Invitational, clocking a 6000-meter time of 20:41.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Smoky Hill High School...finished second in the 800-meter run at the Colorado Class 5A state championships with a personal-best time of 1:52.82...also placed second in the 1600-meter run at that meet...recorded a season-best time of 4:20.67 at the Cherry Creek Invitational...ran a 9:39.45 in the 3200-meter run at the Nike/Valor Invitational...two-time all-state (first team) selection in track and field...regional champion in cross country in 2008...two-time all-state (second-team) selection in cross country...served as team captain for three years...selected as Smoky Hill Athlete of the Year in 2010...also named high school's Outstanding Senior that year...received the 2010 IB Doze English Award for outstanding English student...selected as the John Lynch Star of the Year award in 2006.

    PERSONAL: Son of David and Christine Caldwell...nickname is "Buttons"...has one younger sister...majoring in philosophy...future plans include becoming a fighter pilot, public affairs officer or a spy...also hopes to become Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff...served as Commander for mission support training squadron, Honor Representative, FCA Leader and Ops AF Cadet-in-Charge...has been known to be "one of the last people to leave Mitches on a few occasions" ...hobbies include reading, watching movies, biking, solving world hunger, hiking, Nordic skiing and contemplating the nature of mankind...ran a leg of the distance medley relay that won the Mountain West championship title in 2012...traveled to the south of France as a part of the Academy's immersion program...also completed Operation Air Force at Ellsworth AFB, S.D., and "discovered the meaning of life"...member of Cadet Squadron 05.
