JUNIOR (2008): Competed in five meets for the Falcons...won the Air Force Open's 4K race...clocked a time of 17:41 at that race...opened the season with a 25th-place time of 17:07 at the 2.5-mile Wyoming Invitational...ran the 5.8K Rocky Mountain Shootout in 26:14 (81st)...posted a season-best 5K time of 20:17 at the Fort Hays Invitational to finish 24th....also ran a 5K time of 21:33 at the Aztec Invitational (150th)...academic all-conference selection.

BEFORE 2008: Did not compete for the cross country team...member of the Air Force track and field team...ran a leg of the 4x800-meter relay team that set the second-fastest time in Academy history...academic all-conference selection.

HIGH SCHOOL: The Classical Academy...received Most Valuable Athlete award in 2005...four-year letterwinner in track and for the 2005 and 2006 seasons...member of two state champion 1600-meter relay teams (2005, 2006)...relay team set state 3A record in 2006...member of the track team that won a state title in 2006... state runner-up in the 400-meter dash at the Colorado 3A state championships in 2005...three-year letterwinner in cross country...member of the National Honor Society...three-year member of the Serteen Community Service Club, serving as both treasurer (2004-05) and president (2005-06)...nominee for the Wendy's High School Heisman...named Track and Field Champion at the Rotary Champions Foundation for the Pikes Peak Region in 2005.

PERSONAL: Full name is Rebecca Lynn Burditt...goes by Becca...daughter of Mark and Diana Burditt...has two younger brothers, John and Daniel...majoring in behavioral science...has served as Group 2 Honor Chair, Group 2 Honor NCO on the Honor Executive Committee, Element NCO, Squad Athletic NCO and Recognition NCO...received the Superintendent's Pin for excellence in military, academic and athletic performance...hobbies include arts and crafts (scrapbooking, card-making, knitting, etc.), baking, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends...spent the summer on a five-week research program at the Institute of Cognition and Culture at Queen's University in Belfast, Ireland...also taught basic cadets honor lessons during the first session of Basic Cadet engaged to 2Lt Daniel Castle, a 2009 Academy graduate and former member of the Air Force cross country and track teams...member of Cadet Squadron 15.
