USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Senior Isaiah Bragg was named the Air Force Athlete of the Week on Monday, Nov. 25, after recording the Academy's best finish at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships in the last decade.
Bragg finished 56th among 253 runners at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Nov. 23, completing a muddy 10K course in a time of 30:57.10. His finish was the program's best individual placement at the national meet since 2003 and the second-highest finish since 1995.
The senior team captain paced the Falcons to a 20th-place finish in the team standings, bettering five higher-ranked teams, including one top-10 squad and two additional top-15 teams.
Bragg, who shared this week's award with wrestling's Jesse Stafford, also claimed the department's weekly honor on Nov. 4 after winning the Mountain West cross country title.
