The Air Force women's cross country team was honored with Division I All-Academic Team status for the 2013 season, the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced today (Feb. 14).
Fifteen members of the Air Force cross country team earned Academic All-Mountain West honors, the league office announced this afternoon (Jan. 30). Represented by nine men and six women, the cross country squad collected the most honors of any sport at the Academy during the 2013 fall season.
With the Academy's best individual finish in the last decade, senior Isaiah Bragg paced the 24th-ranked Air Force men's cross country team to a 20th-place team finish at the NCAA Division I National Cross Country Championships in Terre Haute, Ind., on Saturday, Nov. 23.
The 24th-ranked Air Force men's cross country team returns to the national stage this Saturday (Nov. 23), when it travels to Terre Haute, Ind., for the 2013 NCAA Division I National Cross Country Championships. The Falcons, making their first appearance as a team at the national meet since 2004, will compete in the 10K final at noon (ET).
