Falcons Place 17 on Academic All-Conference Team

The Air Force cross country team placed 17 of its members on the Mountain West Conference All-Academic Team, the commissioner's office announced this afternoon (Feb. 11). Justin Tyner Places 71st at NCAA Cross Country Championships

Air Force junior Justin Tyner finished within the top third of the field at the 2009 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships, which were held this morning (Nov. 23) at the Lavern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, Ind. Competing in a field of 250 of the nation's top distance runners, Tyner placed 71st with a 10,000-meter time of 30:37.6. [+]

Brittany Morreale Named Rhodes Scholar

Senior Air Force distance runner Brittany Morreale (Ranchos Palos Verdes, Calif.) was awarded one of 32 Rhodes Scholarships for 2010. Morreale is the Academy's 36th recipient of this prestigious award and the 11th cadet-athlete to earn the honor. [+]

Justin Tyner Heads to NCAA Championships

Air Force junior Justin Tyner will represent the Academy at the 2009 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships on Monday, Nov. 21. The national meet, featuring 31 teams and 38 individual competitors, will take place on the LaVern Gibson Championship Course at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center in Terre Haute, Ind.
