Air Force junior Justin Tyner will represent the Academy at the 2009 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships on Monday, Nov. 21. The national meet, featuring 31 teams and 38 individual competitors, will take place on the LaVern Gibson Championship Course at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center in Terre Haute, Ind. Air Force junior Justin Tyner (Baxter, Minn.) was officially selected to the 2009 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships this evening (Nov. 15), as the NCAA selection committee announced the field for the upcoming national meet. With the berth, Tyner is the first Air Force runner to compete at the NCAA Championships since Matt Williams in 2007. [+]

The varsity members of the Air Force cross country team will travel to Albuquerque, N.M., on Saturday, Nov. 14, for the 2009 NCAA Mountain Region Championships. The meet, one of nine regional competitions taking place around the country, will be held at the New Mexico North Golf Course. Action begins at 10:45 a.m., with the men's 10,000-meter race. Justin Tyner Places Third at MWC Championships

Junior Justin Tyner clocked a career-best time of 23:45 to place third at the 2009 Mountain West Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Oct. 31, in Orem, Utah. With all five scoring runners placing within the top-25, the Falcons finished third in the team standings. The women picked up an impressive fourth-place finish in the team standings, as four of the five scoring runners placed within the top 30. [+]
