Justin Tyner Places Third at MWC Championships

Junior Justin Tyner clocked a career-best time of 23:45 to place third at the 2009 Mountain West Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Oct. 31, in Orem, Utah. With all five scoring runners placing within the top-25, the Falcons finished third in the team standings. The women picked up an impressive fourth-place finish in the team standings, as four of the five scoring runners placed within the top 30. [+]

Falcons Travel to MWC Championships

The Air Force cross country team begins the 2009 championship season this weekend, as its top nine runners travel to Orem, Utah, for the Mountain West Conference Championships on Saturday, Oct. 31. The meet, which is hosted by BYU, will feature six men's teams and nine women's teams. The two championship races will take place at the Cascade Golf Course. [+]

Air Force Concludes "B" Season at RMAC Open

While the Air Force cross country varsity team members prepare for the upcoming conference championship meet, the rest of the Falcons' runners concluded the season at the RMAC Open in Denver, Colo., on Saturday, Oct. 24. Air Force sent 19 members to Washington Park in downtown Denver to compete in an "open" event hosted by Metro State. [+]

Tyner and Walmsley Pace Men at Pre-Nationals

For the second time this season, Justin Tyner paced the Air Force cross country team at a national meet. The junior recorded a career-best 8K time of 24:17 to place 21st amongst 238 Division I runners at the 2009 Pre-Nationals Meet in Terre Haute, Ind., on Saturday, Oct. 17. Tyner guided the men to a 12th-place finish in the 34-team "Blue" race. [+]

Falcons Head to Pre-Nationals Meet

The varsity members of the Air Force cross country team will head to Terre Haute, Ind., for the prestigious 2009 Pre-Nationals Meet on Saturday, Oct. 17. The meet, hosted by Indiana State University and held on the same course as the NCAA National Championships, features over 1500 runners from over 75 programs from across the country. Action begins at 11 a.m. (CST) with the first of two men's 8K races. [+]

Jeremy Drenckhahn Named MWC Runner of the Week

For the second time in three weeks, a member of the Air Force cross country team was named the Mountain West Conference Men's Runner of the Week, the commissioner's office announced this afternoon (Oct. 13). Freshman Jeremy Drenckhahn picked up the first such honor of his career following his team-leading performance at the Fort Hays State Tiger Invitational. [+]
