SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Two current members of the Air Force track and field team, as well as two recent graduates, will compete at the 2017 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships this week (Jun 22-25) in Sacramento. Rising seniors Shelley Spires and Jamiel Trimble will represent the Falcons' current squad, while the alumni group will include 2Lt Kyle Pater and Capt Cale Simmons, a 2016 Olympian.
Spires and Trimble will compete in the high jump and 200-meter dash, respectively, while Pater (Class of 2017) and Simmons (Class of 2013) will both compete in the pole vault.

The 2017 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be broadcast nationally on a variety of platforms, including NBCSN (June 23, 10:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m.), NBC (June 24, 4:00-6:00 p.m.; June 25, 4:00-6:00 p.m.) and USATF.tv, which will air continually throughout the championship meet.
