Air Force Duo Selected to NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Senior Brian Walsh and freshman Nick Frawley were invited to participate in the 2007 NCAA Track and Field Championships, the national office announced today (May 29).  With each  making their first appearance at the national outdoor meet, Walsh will compete in the decathlon and Frawley will take part in the pole vault.

 

Walsh, who has made two appearances in the heptathlon at the indoor championships, is ranked ninth in the nation with 7334 points heading into his first national decathlon. The Falcons' senior is the current Mountain West Conference champion in the decathlon.

 

Frawley will be making his first appearance on the national stage after clearing a career-best 17'5½" to win the MWC title. Heading into the national meet, Frawley has tallied the eighth-best height in the NCAA.

 

Action begins on Wednesday, June 6, with the first five of events of the decathlon and the qualifying round of the pole vault.
