Distance Runners Conclude Action Under the Lights at Mt. SAC

    WALNUT Calif. - Backed by the fifth-fastest 10,000-meter time in Academy history, three Air Force distance runners wrapped up action under the lights of Hilmer Lodge Stadium late Thursday (April 18) night during the Mt. SAC Relays Distance Carnival.

    Senior Jeremy Drenckhahn clocked a career-best time of 29:28.81 to finish 12th in the "elite" section of the 10,000-meter run. Placing seventh among collegiate athletes in the top division of runners, Drenckhahn cut two seconds off his time to improve his fifth-place standing on the Academy's all-time list.

    Classmate Andrew Quallio clocked a season-best time of 30:30.42 to finish 20th in the "Olympic Development" division of the 10K, while junior Isaiah Bragg rounded out the trio with a 28th-place time of 30:46.43 in the meet's "A" section.

    The Falcons return to action at the Mt. SAC Relays tomorrow (April 19). Action begins for Air Force at 10 a.m. (PST) with the men's hammer throw, women's javelin throw and women's pole vault.
