LONG BEACH, Calif. - Just one day after breaking the Academy discus throw record, freshman Olivia Korte (Seneca, Kan.) did it again, redefining the mark at the Springco-Long Beach Invitational on Saturday, April 17.

One of just two Falcons competing at the Long Beach Invitational, Korte recorded a distance of 166'6" to finish third of 28 competitors in the discus throw.

The freshman posted a winning mark of 164'6" on Friday (April 16) at the Mt. SAC Relays to crush the old record by five feet. Over the weekend, Korte improved her distance by 10 feet, while shattering the Freshman Class record by 15 feet.

Also taking part in the hammer throw, Korte posted a mark of 149'10" to finish 19th out of 47 athletes. Her mark is the best throw by any member of the Falcon team this season.

Junior Dominique Boivin (Shoreline, Wash.) also competed at the Long Beach Invitational and recorded an eighth-place finish in the discus throw, recording a mark of 157'00".
