Air Force Trio Heads to Last Chance Qualifier

    AMES, Iowa -- Three members of the Air Force track and field team will travel to Ames, Iowa, for the Last Chance Qualifier on Saturday, March 8. Hoping to improve their national standing, seniors Kevin Hawkins (800-meter run) and David Lissy (shot put) will join sophomore Sara Neubauer (shot put) on Iowa State's campus for the meet.

    Competing in the women's shot put, Neubauer starts the day for Air Force at 1:30 p.m. (CST). Hawkins follows in the 800-meter run at 2:30 p.m., while Lissy's shot put event begins at 3:00 p.m.

    Hawkins is currently ranked 22nd in the country with an 800-meter time of 1:49.52, while Neubauer's throw of 50'2" is 37th. Lissy's shot of 57'11" is just shy of entering the nation's top-30.
