FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Air Force track and field team wrapped up competition at the West Preliminary of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships this evening (May 31) in Fayetteville, Ark., with the men's 5000-meter run and the women's high jump.
In his second distance race of the last three days, senior Isaiah Bragg concluded his collegiate career with a 35th-place time of 14:44.16 in the 5000-meter run. After graduating from the Academy on Wednesday and competing in the 10,000-meter run on Thursday, Bragg finished the 5000-meter race 10 places ahead of where he was seeded heading into the regional meet after posting his second-fastest time of the season.
Classmate Rachel Herald competed in the high jump this afternoon, but was unable to clear the opening height of 5'5¾".
The 2014 outdoor season comes to a close at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore., on June 11-14.
