WALNUT, Calif. - Running under the late-night lights of Hilmer Lodge Stadium in Walnut, Calif., Air Force senior Isaiah Bragg clocked the sixth-fastest 10,000-meter time in Academy history during the opening night of the 56th Mt. SAC Relays. Recording a time of 29:37.25, Bragg was one of two Falcons to compete in the 10K races on Thursday, April 18.
Bragg deleted nearly a half-minute from his previous best time in the longest race of the outdoor season to finish 13th in the 28-competitor Elite Division. The time, 11th among the collegiate athletes in the elite section, was over one minute faster than his time at last season's Mt. SAC Relays.
Junior Riley Coates made his debut in the collegiate 10K tonight, crossing the finish line in a time of 30:01.94 to finish 15th in the 34-runner Olympic Development division.
The Falcons continue action at the Mt. SAC Relays tomorrow (April 18), while the rest of the squad heads to Azusa for the Bryan Clay Invitational.
