AZUSA, Calif. - Injuries have forced senior Michael Tibbs and sophomore Evan McDowell from the second day of decathlon competition at the Mt. SAC/California Invitational in Azusa, Calif.

Tibbs, who opened the Mt. SAC Division of the decathlon with four strong events, suffered a hamstring issue prior to the 400-meter dash yesterday, while McDowell, who only returned to competition yesterday following an ankle injury, re-aggravated the injury yesterday. The sophomore opened competition today with a ninth-place time of 15.98 in the 110-meter hurdles, before withdrawing from the decathlon's California Invitational "A" Division.

The Falcons remain in California for the 55th Mt. SAC Relays, which began today (April 18) in Walnut. Air Force will also compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 19) and the Beach Invitational (April 20).
