AUSTIN, Texas - Air Force senior Cort Rogers picked up a fifth-place finish in the pole vault, as two members of the track and field team opened competition at the 87th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Thursday, March 27. Competing at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Rogers tied for the second-best clearance of the day in the event's "B" section.

Rogers cleared a season-debut 16'6¾" to take fifth in his 18-competitor section of the pole vault ... a mark just shy of his career high. Tying for fifth with Stephen F Austin's Cameron Meyer and Oklahoma's Everette Favor, Rogers matched the second-best clearance of the day, as the top four placewinners all cleared 17'0¾".

Sophomore Dylan Bell also competed in the pole vault today, recording a no-height in the "A" section.

Action continues at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays tomorrow (March 28).
