SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2012-13: Competed in the 5000-meter run during two outdoor meets...clocked a career-best time of 15:25.72 (adjusted for altitude) to finish fourth at the Air Force Relays...competed in the mile twice during the indoor season...used a personal-best time of 4:19.62a to place third at the Air Force Team Challenge...also contested the 3000-meter run once indoors, clocking a time of 8:51.33a at the Air Force Invitational.

FRESHMAN YEAR | 2011-12: Competed in the 1500-meter run during three outdoor competitions...clocked a personal-best time of 4:02.55 (adjusted for altitude) to finish sixth at the Front Range Classic...ran the 5000-meter run at the Air Force Relays, clocking a debut time of 16:30.88a...also competed in the 3000-meter run twice during the indoor season...clocked a career-best time of 9:10.35a at the Air Force Team Challenge.

HIGH SCHOOL: Countryside High School...earned all-county and all-region honors in both cross country and track...also claimed all-state honors in track...clocked a personal-best time of 1:56 in the 800-meter run and 4:21 in the 1600-meter run...served as captain for both track and cross country...also played varsity soccer...served as senior class treasurer.

PERSONAL: Full name is Zachary Thomas Christenson...goes by Zack...son of Lee and Janet Christenson...has older twin brothers, Damon and Raymond...Damon is a STO in the Air Force and Raymond is an All-American Triathlete...majoring in economics...future plans include becoming a nuclear physicist, a biological chemist and playing in a jazz band...would also like to "join the National Cricket Association and take the title from the Aussies"...member of the USAFA Honor Guard and Saber Team...served as manager of the women's water polo (club) team...attended the Academy's Prep School...member of the soccer team...hobbies include "baton twirling, extreme pogo sticking, crocheting, sculpting, beat boxing, writing poetry and rocking out in my air guitar band"...huge fan of Zumba and belly dancing in the off-season, because "it not only keeps me physically in shape, but it's a great way to keep the core in check"...completed an aeronautical engineering course over the summer...also "helped mold the future cadets of USAFA into leaders of character, by expecting excellence from them down in Jack's Valley"...plans to be the passenger in Andrew Quallio's race care career and go into space with Ted Artz in his own spaceship...member of Cadet Squadron 40
