    FRESHMAN (2011): Finished second in the 3000-meter run at the Air Force Invitational with a time of 9:07.95 (adjusted for altitude)...competed in the mile twice during the indoor season...clocked a personal-best time of 4:21.93a at the Air Force All-Comers Meet...clocked a career-best 3:49.72a in the 1500-meter run at the Jack Christiansen Invitational during the outdoor season...also competed in the 3000-meter run (8:59.26a) at the Colorado Invitational and the 3000-meter steeplechase (10:15.32a) at the Front Range Classic.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Ann Sobrato High School...won California's Central Coast Section in the 3200-meter run (9:07.10) in 2009...also won the Stanford invitational that year at 3200 meters...recorded a season-best time of 4:15.80 in the 1600-meter run at the Blossom Valley League finals...named Athlete of the Year as a junior and senior...won the 2006 USA Triathlon's Youth Elite National Championships in Colorado Springs.

    PERSONAL: First name is David, but goes by Lance...son of Dave Wolfsmith, Vikki O'Hara and Julie Wolfsmith...has one younger sister, Lauren...majoring in management...future plans include becoming a professional coach...attended the Academy's Prep School...nationally ranked in the junior triathlon...member of Cadet Squadron 04.
