Kent was one of three student-athletes to earn the national recognition for sportsmanship.
He is the fourth Air Force athlete to earn the conference's sportsmanship award.

JUNIOR YEAR | 2012-13: Received the NCAA Student-Athlete Sportsmanship Award and the Mountain West Sportsmanship Award...Academy record-holder in the weight throw...tossed a career-best distance of 62'10" to finish second at the Air Force Team Challenge and set the program standard...that mark is also a new Junior Class Record...first surpassed the 60-foot mark with a winning effort at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic (60'10½")...earned Air Force Athlete of the Week honors following that meet...also broke the 60-foot line during a fourth-place finish at the Mountain West Indoor Championship (60'4 ½")...made season debut in the shot put at the conference championships, recording a toss of 41'7 ¾"...earned "Standout" distinction from the team twice during the indoor season...competed in the hammer throw and discus throw during the outdoor season...ranked third on the team in the hammer throw after recording a toss of 184'4" at the Air Force Invitational...picked up a second-place finish in that event at the Air Force Triangular (182'8")...also posted a career-best mark of 128'10" in the discus throw at that meet.
SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2011-12: Competed in the hammer throw during five outdoor competitions...recorded a career-best distance of 158'11" at the Front Range Classic...placed fourth at the Yellow Jacket Invitational with a toss of 155'2"...competed in the weight throw and shot put during the indoor season...recorded a season-best weight distance of 51'0" at the Air Force All-Comers Meet...also posted a season-best mark in the shot put (39'1¼") at that meet.
FRESHMAN YEAR | 2010-11: Competed in the shot put and weight throw during the indoor season...recorded a career-best shot put distance of 42'0" at the Air Force All-Comers Meet...tossed a personal-best mark of 54'6" in the weight throw at the Robert Shine Invitational...competed in the hammer throw once during the outdoor season...threw a 153'4" to finish sixth at the Yellow Jacket Invitational.
HIGH SCHOOL: George Walton High School...placed ninth at the Georgia High School Weight Throw Championships...competed for "Throw 1 Deep" Track Club...also competed in the hammer throw and discus throw.
