    FRESHMAN YEAR | 2013-14: Helped the Falcons to six of the top-eight finishes in the pole vault at the Mountain West Indoor Championships after finishing sixth with a career-best clearance of 16'0¾"...picked up a fourth-place finish in his section at the Pole Vault Summit (15'3")...added top-10 indoor finishes at the Air Force All-Comers Meet (15'1", seventh), Air Force Team Challenge (15'1", 10th) and Air Force Collegiate Open (15'7", 10th)...earned the team's Newcomer of the Week award after the Collegiate Open...cleared 14'5¼" during the outdoor season (Colorado Invitational)...competed in the 110-meter hurdles during three outdoor meets, posting a personal-best time of 15.60 at the Jack Christiansen Invitational...also made only appearance of the season in the long jump (18'6") and javelin throw (137'7") at that meet.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Olympia High School...2013 Illinois state champion in the pole vault...finished second in that event at the state meet during sophomore and junior years...also placed third at the state championships in the 110-meter hurdles during senior year...school record holder in the pole vault and 110-meter hurdles...four-year varsity letterwinner in track and field...placed 12th at the 2013 National Pole Vault Summit...graduated in the top 10-percent of class...maintained a 4.0 GPA...served as president of the senior class.

    PERSONAL: Full name is Tyler John Ginger...nicknames are "Ging", "TJ", "Ty" and "Kyler"...son of Robert and Rose Ginger...has one older brother Scott, who is a Gunnery Sergeant in the Marine Corps...majoring in computer and network security...future plans include working in the Office of Special Investigations or within the intelligence field...earned Jump wings in the summer of 2014...named to the Athletic Director's List during both semesters of freshman year...also named to the Dean's List in the Fall 2013...hobbies include running, pole vaulting, spending time with friends, cracking knuckles, taking pictures/videos, eating large amounts of food, traveling, not having red hair, gymnastics, lifting heavy things, sleeping, making snowmen, jumping in puddles, diving, jumping on a trampoline, walking on hands, disc golf, road trips, being from Illinois, stargazing, beatboxing and mini golf...also loves pretzels, dark chocolate, the color Columbia Blue and being a member of the Flying Dragons Pole Vault Club...would like to add "a huge thanks to David Stine, Todd Wigginton, Mike Cockerham, Tom Coulon and my family and friends for helping me get to where I am today"...completed Expeditionary Survival and Evasion Training (ESET) and AM-490 (jump) over the summer...member of Cadet Squadron 17.
