The 20 selections by the men's MW champions are the most in program history.
The meet will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, at the Cadet Field House.
Cale Simmons was named the Most Outstanding Competitor for the 2012 season.
Jim Walmsley and Bryce Bergman each claimed two all-MW selections.
JUNIOR (2012): Received the team's Most Improved Award...all-conference selection in the high jump...tied for third at the Mountain West Indoor Championships with a career-best clearance of 6'10¼"...helped Air Force to a share of the top three places at the conference meet...accounted for top-five finishes during the indoor season at the Air Force Team Challenge (6'9¾", third) and at the Air Force Invitational (6'8¾", fourth)...was the Falcons' top finisher in both meets...scored for Air Force at the MW Outdoor Championships after placing fourth (6'8¾")...helped the Falcons to three of the top-four finishes at the conference meet...cleared that same height in winning effort at the Front Range Classic...recorded a personal-best outdoor mark of 6'9¾" during runner-up performance at the Air Force Relays...also finished second at the Jack Christiansen Invitational (6'7").
SOPHOMORE (2011): Finished seventh at the Mountain West Conference Indoor Championships with a clearance of 6'6¼"...matched that placement at the MWC Outdoor Championships (6'2")...posted a career-best outdoor clearance of 6'6¼" to finish second at the Jack Christiansen Invitational...also picked up a top-five finish at the Front Range Classic (6'2¾")...recorded an indoor-best height of 6'8¼" to place sixth at the Air Force Invitational.
FRESHMAN (2010): Finished fifth at the Mountain West Conference Indoor Championships with a clearance of 6'6"...earned the same placement at the outdoor championships with a height of 6'4¾"...led the team during the indoor season after clearing a career-best 6'6¾" at the Air Force All-Comers Meet...finished fourth at that meet...ranked second on the team during the outdoor season with clearance at conference meet...scored for the Falcons at the Military Championships with an eighth-place bar of 6'2¾".
HIGH SCHOOL: Buchanan High School...ranked second in the nation for youth nationals in high jump...recorded a personal-best height of 6'10" at the CIF Central Section North meet during sophomore year...cleared 6'6" at the West Coast Relays in 2009...lettered three years in basketball...also played water polo...named most valuable and most inspirational...graduated with a 3.9 GPA...member of the National Honor Society...served as a peer counselor for five years...involved in numerous community service projects.
PERSONAL: Full name is Travis Carter Smith...son of Rich and Tracy Smith...has two siblings, Brianna and Taylor...majoring in civil engineering...future plans include becoming a civil engineer in the Air Force and then open an architecture and construction firm...served as Flight Commander and Support Officer...named as "Knight of the Year" for CS-30 as a junior...hobbies include movies, music and friends...traveled to Hawaii over the summer and taught brother how to surf...also went to Yosemite and Six Flags Magic Mountain...member of Cadet Squadron 30.
