    Over 40 Falcons Earn MW Academic Honors

    The track and field team accounted for 41 of Air Force's 69 academic all-conference selections.

    FRESHMAN YEAR | 2013-14: Recorded a career-best 202'5" during a fourth-place finish at the Mountain West Championships...that distance was ranked third on the team...also surpassed the 200-foot mark at the Jim Click Shootout (201'4", fourth place)...earned the team's Newcomer of the Week award following a runner-up finish (197'0") at the Air Force Relays...academic all-conference selection.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Glacier High School...four-year letter winner in track and field...placed second in the javelin at the Montana AA state championships with a throw of 193'2"...also lettered three years in football...earned all-state honors as a quarterback during junior and senior years...nominee for Montana's Gatorade Player of the Year as a junior...won a national championship with the Montana Thunderbirds Hockey Club as a goalie...played two years of hockey in the Northern Pacific Hockey League...four-time academic all-state selection...member of the National Honor Society...served as class vice-president.

    PERSONAL: Full name is Taylor Matthew Hulslander...son of Matt Benedict and Susan Hulslander...has one younger sister, McKenna...majoring in business management...future plans include becoming a fighter pilot...named to the Dean's List and Athletic Director's List...received Jump wings in summer of 2014...hobbies include fly fishing, hunting and camping...has played the piano for many years...would like to "thank my parents and sister for the support they have given me throughout my childhood and thank God for giving me the opportunities I have"...completed Jump and Expeditionary Survival and Evasion Training (ESET) over the summer...also spent a week in Alaska, fishing with grandfather...member of Cadet Squadron 01.
