JUNIOR YEAR | 2014-15: Set a new Academy record in the weight throw after recording a distance of 63’0” at the Mountain West Indoor Championships...that mark is also a new Junior Class Record...earned all-conference honors after finishing third at that meet...became the seventh thrower in Academy history to surpass the 60-foot mark in the weight throw after recording a toss of 61’0¾” at the New Mexico Invitational...won that event at the Air Force Holiday Open (56’10¾”)...added additional top-three finishes at the Air Force Collegiate Open (third, 59’1¼”) and Holiday Inn Invitational (third, 59’1½”)...earned the team’s Field Athlete of the Week award twice...competed in the hammer and discus events during the outdoor season...led the team in the hammer throw...recorded a career-best toss of 187’9” to finish second at the Air Force Twilight Open...won the New Mexico Quadrangular (175’3”)...scored for the Falcons in the hammer at the MW Outdoor Championships (sixth, 177’6”)...recorded a season-best discus distance of 151’6” at that meet.
SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2013-14: Competed in the discus throw and hammer throw during six outdoor meets...recorded a career-best mark of 159'11" in the discus to finish fourth at the Ward Haylett Invitational...won that event at the Air Force Relays and added an additional top-five finish at the Jack Christiansen Invitational (159'7", fifth)...tossed a personal-best 169'11" in the hammer to finish fifth at the Air Force Twilight Open...competed in the weight throw and shot put five times during the indoor season...recorded a career-best throw of 50'8¾" in the weight throw to finish fifth at the Air Force Holiday Open...also surpassed the 50-foot mark at the Air Force All-Comers Meet (50'1¾")...tossed a season-best distance of 45'0¼" in the shot put at the Holiday Open.
2011-2013: Completed a two-year LDS mission in Santiago, Chile.
FRESHMAN YEAR | 2010-11: Competed in the shot put and weight throw during three indoor meets...recorded career-best distances in both events at the Robert Shine Invitational (46'5½" shot put, 47'0¼" weight throw)....participated in the shot put, discus throw and hammer throw during four outdoor meets...recorded an outdoor-best distance of 46'2¾" in the shot put at the Jack Christiansen Invitational...tossed a personal-best 149'10" in the discus to finish fifth at the season-opening New Mexico Tailwind Invitational...earned a sixth-place finish in the hammer throw (159'1") the CSU Pueblo Invitational.
HIGH SCHOOL: Two-time Arizona 1A High School state champion in the shot put and discus throw...won both events as a junior and senior...received a combined 11 varsity letters in football, basketball and track and field...named an all-conference defensive player in football...named all-state choir as a senior...performed in "The Music Man", "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" and "My Fair Lady"...graduated with a 3.9 GPA...class salutatorian.
