Track and Field Places 39 on Academic All-Conference List

Paige Blackburn, Katie Carroll and Kimber Shealy claimed their fourth straight academic all-MW honors.

JUNIOR YEAR | 2013-14: Competed in the 100-meter and 400-meter hurdles during the outdoor season...clocked a season-best time of 15.14 in the 100-meter hurdles to take third at the Air Force Twilight Open...added a top-five finish at the Air Force Relays (15.76, fourth)...clocked a career-best 400-meter hurdles time of 67.32 to take fourth at the Colorado Invitational...earned a runner-up finish in that event at the Twilight Open (68.17)...competed in the 60-meter hurdles during four indoor meets, including the conference championships...posted a season-best time of 9.31 to finish fourth at the Air Force Holiday Open...added career-best times in the 60-meter (8.47) and 300-meter (44.68) distances during that meet...recorded personal-best marks in the 55-meter dash (7.78) and 55-meter hurdles (8.87) at the Rocky Mountain Classic...ran the 200-meter dash once, posting a time of 27.54 at the Air Force Collegiate Open...academic all-conference selection.

SOPHOMORE YEAR | 2012-13: Competed in the 100-meter hurdles in six meets, including the Mountain West Outdoor Championships...clocked a season-best time of 15.32 at the New Mexico Triangular...competing in the 400-meter hurdles during two meets...recorded a career-best 68.03 during a winning performance at the Air Force Twilight Open...competed in the 60-meter hurdles during five indoor meets...posted a season-best time of 9.28 at the Ari Force Team Challenge...also posted personal-best marks in the 60-meter dash (8.47) and 200-meter dash (27.51) at that meet...academic all-conference selection.

FRESHMAN YEAR | 2011-12: Competed in the 60-meter hurdles and 200-meter dash at three meets during the indoor season...posted a career-best time of 9.31 in the hurdles at the Air Force Invitational...clocked a personal-best 27.82 in the 200-meter dash at the Air Force Team Challenge...also participated in the 60-meter dash twice, posting a career-best time of 8.56 at the Air Force Invitational...clocked a time of 8.65 in the 55-meter hurdles at the Robert Shine Invitational...also competed in the 55-meter dash (8.01) and ran a leg of the 4x400-meter relay team (4:08.34) that finished second at that meet...competed in the 100-meter hurdles three times during the outdoor season...posted a career-best time of 14.93 to place fifth at the Front Range Classic...that time was ranked second on the team...also ran the 100-meter dash (13.01) and 200-meter dash (27.29) once...ran a leg of the 100-meter shuttle hurdles relay that finished second (1:03.52) and the 4x200-meter relay that placed third (1:45.98) at the Air Force Relays...academic all-conference selection.

HIGH SCHOOL: Stevens High School...four-year letterwinner in track...2010 South Dakota AA 100-meter hurdles state champion...finished second in that event at the state meet as a senior...also claimed second- and third-place finishes in the 300-meter hurdles at the state meet...led the 4x100-meter relay team to a state title as a senior...holds school record in the 100-meter hurdles (14.3).....served as team captain...led SHS to three state championships (2008, 2010, 2011)...member of the National Honor Society.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Tim and Tania Schepper...father is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force...has twin siblings, Tea and Tylin...majoring in behavioral science (pre-med)...future plans include attending medical school or participating in another career field tied to psychology...served as Group 4 Executive Officer...spent two periods of the summer working on a Cadet Summer Research Project that focused on concussions and sub-concussive impacts...also served as MGO during the second session of Basic Cadet Training...received jump wings during the summer of 2012...member of Cadet Squadron 34.
