FRESHMAN YEAR | 2016-17: Competed in four throwing events...posted a team-leading toss of 132’1” to win the javelin at the Air Force Twilight Open...also won that event at the Jack Christiansen Invitational (118’5”)...recorded a collegiate-best throw of 135’8” to finish third in the discus at the Twilight Open...threw the hammer once...competed in the weight throw during six indoor meets...finished second at the Air Force Collegiate Open after recording a career-best toss of 43’4”...added a top-four finish at the Adams State Qualifier (fourth, 40’7¾”)...academic all-conference selection.

HIGH SCHOOL: Flowing Wells High School...two-time Arizona Division II Athlete of the Year (2015, 2016)...named Southern Arizona Athlete of the Season in 2015...three-time first-team all-state selection...won the discus throw at the 2015 Arizona DII State High School Championships...added a runner-up finish in the shot put at that meet...also claimed a second-place finish in the discus throw at the 2016 state championship meet...registered a career-best distance of 140’1” in the discus...played on the varsity boys’ football team as a senior...named distinguished graduate...ranked sixth in graduating class with a 4.1 GPA...served as an Americorps Ambassador through the Metropolitan Education Commission and ensured that every senior in graduating class had post-graduation plans.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Guy and Rebecca Rodriguez...has two younger sisters...majoring in management...also earning a minor in Spanish...future plans include becoming an RPA pilot...served as Personal Ethics and Education Representative (PEER) for squadron...also served as a Leader for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)...named to the Dean’s List and Athletic Director’s List...hobbies include cooking, lifting weights, drinking coffee, going dancing and avoiding running at all costs...favorite Bible verse is 2 Timothy 1:7...completed Expeditionary Survival and Evasion Training (ESET) and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) over the summer...member of Cadet Squadron 03.
