2006: Improved standing on the Academy's all-time javelin list (218'6")...earned all-conference honors following a second-place finish (212'9") at the Mountain West Conference Championships...threw a career-best 218'6" to win the Jack Christiansen Invitational...that mark was the third-best throw in program history and a NCAA regional qualifier...led an Air Force sweep of the top four spots...earned the team's Field Athlete of the Week award following that meet...placed fifth at the Drake Relays with a throw of 206'9"...was one of just five athletes in the 29-member field to clear the 205' mark...repeated the Field Athlete of the Week honor following the Relays...finished second in the javelin at the Spring Break Classic...selected as captain of the 2007 team

2005: Moved into third on the Academy's all-time list with a throw of 214'6" at the Jack Christiansen Invitational...that mark is a new Sophomore Class record...earned the team's Field Athlete of the Week award following that meet...was the runner-up at the Mountain West Conference Outdoor Championships with a toss of 210'11"...was the runner-up at the Drake Relays (University/College Division) after throwing a 204'3"...placed ninth at the NCAA Midwest Regionals with a throw of 193'6"...finished fourth at the Arizona State Invitational with a throw of 202'10"

2004: Recorded a season-best throw of 195'0" to win the event at Colorado State...throw ranks 10th on the program's all-time list...earned Newcomer of the Week honors at Wichita State with a 191'4" throw in javelin debut

HIGH SCHOOL: Two-time Kansas 6A state champion in the javelin throw...High School All-America honoree as a senior...Kansas state record holder... ranked second in the nation for high school javelin throwers with a distance of 219'5"...state runner-up in the event as a senior

PERSONAL: Son of Gary and Connie Schwandt...has one sister, Sarah...majoring in management...future plans include becoming an acquisitions officer...served as Flight Commander...hobbies include water skiing, basketball and snow skiing.
