FRESHMAN YEAR | 2015-16: Competed in the 800-meter run six times...clocked a career-best 1:54.92 (adjusted for altitude and track size) to finish second at the Adams State Qualifier...posted an outdoor-best time of 1:55.52 at the Michael Johnson Classic...earned a top-three finish in that event at the Air Force Twilight Open (third, 1:55.74a)...competed in the 400-meter run twice, clocking a personal-best time of 51.17 at the Colorado Invitational...academic all-conference selection...MW Scholar-Athlete.

HIGH SCHOOL: Poudre High School...four-year letterwinner...all-conference honoree...finished seventh at the Colorado 5A Championships in the 400-meter dash...holds the school record in that event...also ran on the 4x200-meter and 4x800-meter relay teams that set school records...also earned four letters in soccer...earned all-conference (honorable mention) status...two-year academic all-state selection in both track and soccer...IB Diploma recipient.

PERSONAL: Full name is Preston Alan Roche...nickname is “Jetson”...son of Gregory and Wanda Roche...has one older sister, Heidi, and one younger sister, Monique...majoring in chemistry...named to the Dean’s List and Athletic Director’s List...earned Jump Wings over the summer...also spent two weeks traveling through Scotland and Ireland...hobbies include hanging with friends, heckling model U.N. conventions, debating the origin of the universe, speed reading anime and public the “runner-up to be the 12th most interesting man in the world”...member of Cadet Squadron 21.
