2006: Earned the team's Alonzo Babers Performance Award...Mountain West Conference champion in the indoor 200-meter dash for the second straight year...MWC championship-meet record holder in the 200-meter dash (21.11)...Academy record-holder in the outdoor 100- and 200-meter dashes...competed at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships...won the 200-meter dash at the season-opening Air Force All-Comers Meet with a time of 21.37...followed that up with a 200-meter dash win at the Adidas Classic (21.50)...also finished third in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.92...continued the win streak with another top finish at the Air Force Invitational, clocking 21.41...had a three-meet win streak snapped with a second-place finish at Albuquerque (21.46)...clocked a career-best, NCAA Qualifying Time of 21.11 in the 200-meter dash at the MWC Indoor Championships to win his second straight title...that time is a new MWC championship-meet record and the second-best time in Academy history...closed out the indoor regular season with victories in the 60- (6.89) and 200-meter dashes (21.21) at the Air Force Open...finished 13th in the 200-meter dash at the NCAA Indoor Championships with a time of 21.24...won the 100- and 200-meter dashes at the Spring Break Classic...clocked a 200-meter dash time of 21.32 to finish fourth at the prestigious Stanford Invitational...shattered the Academy's 100-meter dash record in Boulder...won the event with a time of 10.46, a mark that bettered the previous record which had stood for 18 years...also set the program's 200-meter dash record with a winning time of 20.73...was a member of the winning 4x400-meter relay team as well...finished third in the 100-meter dash at the Pomona-Pitzer Invite... was the top collegiate finisher in the 100-meter dash at the Jack Christiansen Invitational...placed sixth in the "special division" of the Drake Relays' 200-meter dash - an event primarily composed of non-collegiate competitors...was a member of the 4x400-meter relay team that finished 19th at the Drake Relays... placed sixth in the 200-meter dash and seventh in the 100-meter dash at the MWC Outdoor Championships...placed ninth in the 200-meter dash preliminary heat at the NCAA Midwest Regional...earned MWC Athlete of the Week honors.

2005: Named Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year following the indoor and outdoor seasons...three-time MWC champion...won the 200-meter dash at the indoor meet with a time of 21.32...finished first in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes at the outdoor championships with respective times of 10.53 and 21.06...named the program's Newcomer of the Year...also earned the team's High Point award, after claiming 38.75 points at the conference and NCAA regional meets...named to the All-Midwest Region Team after finishing eighth in the 200-meter dash...recorded the second-fastest times in Academy history in the indoor 200-meter (21.32), 100-meter (10.53) and outdoor 200-meter (21.01) dashes...established Freshman Class records in the 100- and 200-meter dashes...five-time Air Force Track Athlete of the Week honoree...led the team with a 6.85 in the 60-meter dash at the MWC Championships, en route to a third-place finish...ran a leg of the 4x400-meter relay team that finished third at the conference's outdoor meet...also competed in the indoor long jump, collecting a distance of 21'7¾"...ran the 400-meter dash at the Falcon Open in a time of 51.50.

HIGH SCHOOL: Named Mt. Miguel High School Athlete of the Year during senior year...finished 11th in the 200-meter dash at the state championships as a senior...earned the Grossmont Union High School District Sportsmanship award...ran a 21.75 in the 200-meter dash...also recorded best marks of 23'1" in the long jump and 10.63 in the 100-meter dash.

PERSONAL: Son of John and Norma Picou...has three sisters (Alexis Picou, Angela Shanahan, Lynne Trones) and one brother (Scott Shanahan)...majoring in management...named to the Dean's List...earned an Athletics Pin during three semesters...served as Element Leader of CS-06...also served as Athletic NCO...hobbies include running, music, saxophone, flute, soccer, "World of Warcraft", other video games, "Star Wars" and talking to fiancé...hopes to qualify for the World Class Athlete Program (WCAP) following graduation... future plans include becoming the CEO of a Fortune 500 company.
