2003: Earned program's "Coaches' Award for Dedication" for her performances over the course of the indoor and outdoor seasons...finished eighth in the discus throw at the MWC Outdoor Championships...set a season-high distance of 150'3" at the Air Force Twilight Invitational to rank fourth on the program's all-time list. 2002: Won weekly "Breakthrough Performance" award for her discus throw personal record of 132'7" at the Long Beach Classic…improved that mark to 133'0" the following week at the Wildcat Shootout…set a seasonal-best performance on the event with a 139'4" at the Tom Benich Classic, the fifth best distance in school history...posted a personal-best record of 95'0" in the hammer throw in her only appearance of the season in that event…selected to the academic all-MWC team. 2001: Named to the Academic all-MWC team. HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four varsity letters in track, three in basketball and two in cross country…served as team captain for all three varsity teams…captured conference title in the discus as a junior and senior…holds the discus record at her high school. PERSONAL: Daughter of John Perez and Dawn Vonderheide-Liem…has a double major in mathematical sciences and mechanical engineering…hobbies include rock climbing and jet skiing. |
