FRESHMAN YEAR | 2012-13: Ran on the 4x100-meter relay team that clocked an Academy-record time of 47.29 at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships...ran on the 4x100 that won the Air Force Twilight Open and the Jerry Quiller Classic...ran the leadoff leg of the team’s fastest 4x400-meter relay (3:51.82, Arizona State Invitational)...also competed in the 100-meter dash (12.89, Arizona State Invitational), 200-meter dash (26.28, Jerry Quiller Classic) and 400-meter dash (58.74, Air Force Twilight Open) during the outdoor season...competed in the 200-meter dash (26.32, MW Indoor Championships), 400-meter dash (59.33, Nebraska adidas Classic) and 500-meter dash (1:18.83, Air Force Holiday Open) during the indoor season...ran the anchor leg of the mile relay that clocked the team’s fastest time (4:04.65, Air Force Team Challenge)...also ran on a pair of 4x400-meter relays, including one that finished third (3:51.06) at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic...earned "Standout" distinction from the team on two occasions.

HIGH SCHOOL: Douglas Byrd High School…two-time state champion in the 400-meter dash…also claimed two regional titles in that event…three-time MVP of the outdoor track team…served as the indoor/outdoor team captain all four years…also spent three seasons as captain of the cross country team…served as student body president…member of the National Honor Society…homecoming queen…member of the Academy of Scholars honors program…also a member of the Academy of Finance…graduated fifth in class.

PERSONAL: Full name is Naomi Arlene Alston…daughter of Roy Alston and Andrea Valdez…father competed in the triple jump at West Point…step-father, Anthony Valdez, is an E-6 in the Army…has two younger siblings, David and Lilliana…majoring in management…future plans include flying remote piloted aircraft (RPA)...serving as Flight Commander...served as Athletic Officer during 2015 Basic Cadet Training...hobbies including reading, journaling, dancing and trying new restaurants…aunt, Wanda Wright, is a retired colonel and 1985 graduate of the Air Force Academy…grandfather, Willie Wright, also retired with the rank of colonel...took Aero and Astro classes over the summer...also worked BCT with the Barbarians…member of Cadet Squadron 16.
